Lambert Climent was born in Valencia, where he studied voice at the Conservatorio Superior with Carmen Martínez. He obtained the highest marks and was granted a scholarship by the “Santiago Lope” foundation, which belongs to the County Council.

He collaborates on a regular basis with several groups specialized in European Renaissance and Baroque music, like Sacqueboutiers de Toulouse, Laberintos Ingeniosos, La Romanesca, Speculum, Concerto Palatino, Camerata Iberia, Forma Antiqua, Capella de Ministrers, Cantoria Hispanica, Ministriles de Marsias, among others.

Since 1987, he works on an ongoing basis with la Capella Reial de Catalunya and Hespèrion XXI, conducted by Jordi Savall.

Climent has made more than sixty recordings for several American and European radio stations and TV channels, as well as for the following labels: Astrée-Auvidis, Alia Vox, Ariane, Naïve/Auvidis, Harmonia Mundi-Ibérica, Radio Nacional de España, Fonti Misicali and Zig-Zag Repertoires.

He tours Spain and Europe, Latin America, United States of America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Israel and the Philippines. He has performed at the Theatre National de l’Opéra Comique of Paris, the Konzerthaus of Vienna, the Sydney Opera House, the Auditorio Nacional and the Teatro Real of Madrid, the Teatro Colón of Buenos Aires, the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Gran Teatre del Liceu of Barcelona, among others.

Regarding oratorio performance, he has been invited to orcherstras like Le Concert des Nations, O.C.B. and Nacional de Cataluña, Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Orquesta Barroca de Salamanca, Orquestra de Cambra del Teatre Lliure de Barcelona, Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, Virtuosos de Moscú, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Orquesta Pablo Sarasate de Pamplona, Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears, Sinfónica de Galicia y Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d´Andorra, among others. He has worked with conductors Josep Pons, Jordi Savall, E. Martínez Izquierdo, Antoni Ros-Marbá, Guy van Vaas, Eduardo López Banzo, Juan José Mena, Wieland Kuijken, L.A. García Navarro, Manel Valdivieso, Jacques Ogg, Jordi Casas, Enrique Ricci, Christophe Coin, Javier Castro, Maurizio Conti, etc.

In the field of dramatic arts, he has worked with Josep M. Mestres, Joan Ollé, Carme Portacelli and Willi Landin.

From 2002 to 2010 he drives, together with Lluis Vilamajó, the creation of the Baroque Choir from Andalucía, acting as its conductor and pedagogical director.

Lambert Climent is Professor of Historical Voice in Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya, (ESMUC).
